Err...hi. I don't actually texture hack, but I've been keeping an eye on it for a long time, I think I started taking interest a couple days before Syntax Error revealed Metal Sonic and Shadow. I used to go by Meaningless Shadow on ghosteo.net

Regardless, now that texture hacking is becoming increasingly easier, and I have a fair bit of experience as far as art goes, I thought I'd start investigating a bit deeper. However, I'm a bit impaired as far as texture hackers go, I think the closest I ever got to hacking was fooling around with my brother's Action Replay DS, or while abusing the cloning glitch on Emerald. Looking past that, I'm hoping to some day find out what I'm doing, and with all the resources found on MeowMix, you may see me in the near future, cranking out some mediocre textures! I may join with MeowMix (since it doesn't seem as exclusive as everyone else), provided I could find someone that could test and take pictures of my textures.

Always glad to have someone looking to break into the texture hacking industry! Here's hoping that you'll be able to become a master texture hacker. Take a look at the download everything thread and PM me if you need help.

And just because I don't see a board specified for it...I'm having some trouble with my avatar. Even though I keep setting it to 100x100, it doesn't appear. It doesn't give an error, it just sort of ignores the URL and loads up my profile with a blank avatar. Is there something I'm missing, or am I just being a blockhead?

Where it says Avatar and there's a drop down box, have you selected None? Then you need to a direct link to the image where it says URL and put 100 in the height and width boxes. Did you do these 3 steps?

Yes, Yes, and Yes. If it matters, this is the image I'm trying to use (it's too big, but I set it too 100x100 and still no dice).

I think you might have to actually decrease the size of the image to 100x100

I had the same issue. I had to set the image's size to 100x100 as well. Oh, and welcome!

That's a nuisance. Oh well, it's doable, at lest. But why won't the "img" code work?

Ugh. I made a new one and resized it to EXACTLY 100x100. It still won't show up. Does it have to be LESS than 100x100?

You know what... I did some clicking around, and it looks like everybody else's avatars are JPEG files, not PNG files. Re-save yours as a jpg, and you'll be good to go, more than likely.

In the meantime, I'm going to look for a plugin that will allow png image files. That's ridiculous.
